Our mission

The People’s Thread was created with one purpose: to make clothing that gives back. We want you to feel confident not just in how you look, but in the difference you’re making when you wear our clothes.

Today’s world faces enormous challenges—from access to food, clean water, healthcare, and education, to the mounting crisis facing our planet and its ecosystems. These problems can make everyday choices feel overwhelming. Where we spend our money matters. Our purchases reflect our values.

That’s why The People’s Thread exists. We're not trying to reinvent the wheel—we’re simply making high-quality clothes, built with even higher-quality intentions. Every purchase directly supports causes that support us all. Each season, we partner with a new charity and commit 15% of all sales to that organization.

We also promise our customers one more thing: everything we make is made to last. No fast fashion. No cut corners. Just the best materials available—because you deserve clothes that stick with you for life.

We’re not here to push a product. We’re here to make an impact. And we’re incredibly glad you’re here with us.

Welcome to the family.

THIS seasons charity

This season, we are proud to be supporting no kid hungry. No Kid Hungry is a national campaign in the United States focused on ending childhood hunger. They aim to ensure that every child has access to the food they need to grow up healthy and strong. The organization works through schools, community programs, and other partnerships to provide meals to kids, particularly in low-income areas. They also advocate for policies that help reduce hunger and food insecurity, such as improving access to school meal programs.

why an anchor?

In the early days of The People’s Thread, when we were running small batches and workshopping designs, friends and family often asked: Why the anchor?

For us, the anchor is more than a design—it’s a symbol of hope. It represents stability during turbulent times, a reminder to stay grounded, and a belief that no matter the challenges we face today, better days are ahead.

The anchor keeps us steady. It keeps us connected. And it reminds us why we do what we do.
